What would make the Goku fanbase happy? Goku being more powerful than a man with infinite power? Congratulations, you broke Dragonball Z. With all that power, there's no more fun in the series. New enemy? Killed instantly. Old foe with a new power or increased strength? Killed instantly. No threat at all. This is what I don't understand. People want Goku to win. I get it. Superman is bland because he's the perfect good guy with the powers of a god. I get it.
But I ask you all one question.
If Goku had infinite strength.....what would be the point of Dragonball Z?
You can't have Goku kill the man with infinite strength and just expect the series to be like before. Goku winning would ruin what made his series good.
BEFORE YOU KILL ME, AT LEAST READ THIS ENTIRE PAGE BEFORE REPLYING. THANK YOU.
A man with limits overcoming impossible odds and his own personal limits to win. That's what makes Goku epic in many ways. Infinite strength ruins that sense of achievement. Sure it would feel good but once you realize there's no one to challenge Goku anymore, where the heck does the series go after that? It makes me sad. The intense war that rages between these fanbases keeps me being a casual fan of both and never anything more. Death threats and rants from Goku fans to people who dare suggest ANYONE from Dragonball would lose to anyone. Fanatic Superman fans boasting why the Man of Steel is perfect and would win against everyone much to everyone's severe annoyance.
Congratulations to both fanbases. I am terrified of both of you and am petrified of going near Goku and Superman as anything more than a casual fan because even if someone WANTS to enter either fandoms, thinking that either Goku OR Superman are ANYTHING less than PERFECT, you are labeled as a fake fan and ridiculed mercilessly. And if anyone even TRIES to deny that last statement, you are deluded no matter WHO you prefer more.
They keep saying Superman doesn't belong in a versus match at all. He breaks the game by being there. Exactly what was everyone expecting?
I GUARANTEE you that if Superman never joined Death Battle, Goku would be wrecking nearly everyone he goes against. There would be NO disappointment! But people kept DEMANDING to see them duke it out. So they set up a fight with Pre-Crisis Superman since he was the most consistent and recent version and not "I sneezed a galaxy away" Superman. And the man who was meant to be invincible in a fight won. And the internet had a damn seizure. "GIVE HIM GOD LEVEL POWERS" they demanded when he had the new form. "PIT HIM AGAINST NEW 52 SUPERMAN!" So they did. Same result. Both videos gave LONG explanations as to why the result was the way it was and why each character is epic in their own way. I bet you 75% of people who rage ignore it completely. Can everyone truly be angry when they are the very people who demanded this fight even occur? This is what I don't understand about it.No one wants to see their favorite hero, villain, or even just general character lose. THAT'S IT. "BUT THE SPIRIT BOMB WOULD KILL SUPERMAN BECAUSE HE DID EVIL STUFF" Yes. OTHER versions of him did. But I can still find recent comics where the people other versions of Superman killed are alive. There are MULTIPLE Supermen because of how many freaking universes DC owns. THEY AREN'T ALL CONNECTED. It's one of the reasons people hate him, yes. Too many Supermen. But you can't just combine them all into one. Each Superman had  different writers. New 52 Superman has his own writers. The evil Superman from Injustice: Gods Among Us wouldn't have the same writers as New 52 Superman. THEY ARE DIFFERENT IN WRITING AND CHARACTERIZATION. IT'S A SEPERATE UNIVERSE. "BUT LET'S LOOK ALL THE LOGICAL REASONS WHY GOKU WOULD WIN!" they seem to say. Yes. Because LOGIC applies to the DC UNIVERSE and the DRAGONBALL Z UNIVERSE.
Superman was made from DAY ONE in the 1930's to be PERFECT. This is why people hate him. But it's also why he doesn't lose unless the writers need him to lose for whatever the plot demands at the moment. The fanbases are alienating ANYONE from getting closer to either character, myself included! This is the legacy of both of them now. Would Superman and Goku even want this? Two heroes of hope and champions of good having their stories twisted into hatred and bitter arguments because of how spoiled both fanbases can be. "BUT GOKU AND SUPERMAN WOULD NEVER FIGHT IN A CITY AND RISK PEOPLE DYING OR EVEN KILL! IT GOES AGAINST THEIR CHARACTERS!" What. In the world. Do you expect from a series called Death Battle?! Goku kills. Everyone kills in Dragonball Z. Yes, I know that. Superman avoids it because he holds back. It's just what DC super heroes do for the sake of the audience. The point of Death Battle is both characters fighting to KILL. If they don't kill and just shake hands, people would call it crap and demand a fight to the death. If they fight and one fighter spares the other because of their characterization, they would call it crap and demand a fight to the death. They let them fight to the death by removing their morals against killing so SOMEONE wins. Oh look, people still call it crap. For the very reason they demanded. A fight free of limitations of the characterizations of both men fighting so both can cut loose and give it everything they've got. Oh look. The same result either way. Exactly what were people expecting to happen? "ALL THEY DID WAS COMBINE EVERY SUPERMAN INTO ONE!" Nope. Every single Superman is just THAT RIDICULOUSLY BROKEN because that's what every writing team does when they make a new Superman. It fluctuates a bit but they are all supposed to be overpowered. His character is "Ultimate champion of good" and that is so generic and unclear it let's each writing team do whatever they want to whatever version of Superman they create. So naturally they make his power limitless because what the hell else does "Ultimate" mean? Personally I would like it more if Superman did what Goku did and had a limit he could blow everyone's mind with by overcoming it to meet new challenges. I think it would make him much more popular, but it is what it is until the next writing team comes along. "SCREWATTACK HATES JAPAN!" Hey, look at all the fights featuring characters from Japanese owned franchises squaring off against other Japanese owned franchises. Look, anime characters winning their fights! Oh, that doesn't factor into the argument that ScrewAttack hates Japan? Well, might as well ignore them, right? Ok, I think people are running out of ideas. These Death Battles attract the WORST of both fans. The fights are supposed to be FUN for everyone and people act like the video leapt off the screen and ate their dogs. No one can EVER deny that. Guess what? I don't think that Goku and Superman will EVER meet in an official crossover so NONE OF IT. FREAKING. MATTERS. Both will continue to be the strongest in their respective universes. And even if they did meet, do you honestly think you can say with a straight face that it would be cannon? Goku and Superman would be ASHAMED of all parties arguing. *Hides in bomb shelter, locks the door behind him*

Your mind is like a garden:
Whatever you plant will grow.
Your thoughts are seeds you're planting:
They produce, each after its kind.

And you, just like a gardener,
Can choose which seeds you'll plant.
And by the choice of seeds you sow,
You choose the harvest you will reap.

So don't plant seeds of lack or fear,
Disease, discord, or doubt.
Plant, instead, the seeds you want;
Then things you want will sprout.

This gift of choice is given to all,
And not to just a few.
The harvest, friend, is in your hands:
The crop depends on you.

So take this power which you've been given,
And use it every day,
To gain from life the good you want,
For you have found the way.

I cannot even begin to say how saddened I am that we have lost such an incredible actor and wonderful man. He voiced many characters I knew growing up, my favorite being the Genie from Aladdin, and as I got older he brought his humor and personality to roles both funny and even serious. May he fly ever higher in Neverland, make dreams come true as he grants a wish, and show someone what it means to find inner courage as a museum comes to life.
We all love you, Robin Williams.
Rest in Peace.

Yes, I'm here. What's important to me right now is that something amazing happened. The talented artist Soviet-Superwoman, whom I highly recommend you check out, encouraged me to keep up what I do. We are all our own worst critic, and we are all capable of great things. To Soviet-Superwoman, I say "Thank You" for your kindness. I won't let you down.
